Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Global Development

 Fellowship 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a current PhD student at a recognized university in an LMIC or LDC (Bangladesh is eligible).

  • Have completed at least 12 months of PhD study.

  • Secure a host supervisor at Imperial College London.

  • Obtain:

    • Letter of Support from the host supervisor (signed by Head of Department).

    • Letter of Recommendation from the home PhD supervisor.

  • Have a research project that is ODA-compliant (benefiting developing countries).

  • Demonstrate English proficiency (either through a certificate or supervisor statement).
